400   BUDGET AND FINANCE (Continued)

 

491   In the matter of the Child Development Careers (CDC) Program, formerly named Temporary Assistance for Needy Families-Child Development Careers Program (TANF-CDC) grant operated at San Diego City College from the Foundation for California Community Colleges, authority is requested to:

 

      Decrease the 2009-2010 General Fund Restricted budget in the amount of $18,893 from $79,770 to $60,877.

     

500   OPERATIONS

 

540   In the matter of the District’s health occupations programs, authority to:

 

      Enter into agreements with health care agencies for use of clinical facilities by students enrolled in District health occupations programs during the 2009-2010 fiscal year.

 

541   In the matter of a three year contract with South Coast Air Quality Management District to provide a training program for curriculum development for alternative fuels, alternative fuel vehicles and renewable energy technologies at Miramar College, authority is requested to:

 

1.    Enter into a three year contract in the amount of $500,000; and

 

2.    Accept, budget and spend in the 2009-2010 General Fund/Restricted Budget $176,250.

 

542   In the matter of the Continuing Education Campuses providing classroom instruction, authority is requested to:

 

1.    Enter into a contract with the International Rescue Committee; and

 

2.    Accept, budget and spend up to a maximum of $10,000 in the 2009-10 General Fund/Restricted Budgets for classroom instruction.

     

600   PERSONNEL

 

610   Certification of short-term personnel service effective on or after

      November 13, 2009, per California Education Code Section 88003.

 

611   Approval of academic, classified, substitute and student personnel actions relating to appointments, assignment changes, salary changes, status changes, leaves of absence, separations and volunteerism during the period October 1, 2009, through October 31, 2009.

710   Approval of purchase orders prepared during the period of

      September 1, 2009, through September 30, 2009.

 

730   Authority to award RFP #10-03 for travel coordination services and logistics for the City College Summer Session 2010 EuroFoto Summer Session Study Abroad Program in Italy, to Tour Resource Consultants, Inc., the lowest, responsive respondent meeting terms, conditions and specifications for this RFP; and

 

      Authority for Purchasing and Contract Services Director to exercise the two, optional one-year renewal periods, if vendor’s performance is judged to be satisfactory, it is in the District’s best interest, and the Board has approved continuation of such funds by budget approval for the respective option periods.

890   Authority to declare an emergency pursuant to Public Contract Code 20654 for expenditures to complete repairs to the existing main electrical line providing power to the T Building at City College.  (Note:  Approval of this action requires a unanimous vote of the Board.  Approval by the County Superintendent of Schools is also required.)

Each presentation shall be limited to five minutes (a total of twenty minutes on the same subject) unless this time limit is waived by action of the Board.

 

Public presentations on matters not listed on the Board meeting agenda may do so during the PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS section of the Board meeting.  In accordance with Education Code Section 72121.5, the Board shall take no action on such matters, other than an action of referral.  Each presentation shall be limited to five minutes (total of 20 minutes on the same subject) unless this time limit is waived by action of the Board.
